What is included in a Basic Installation?
AH Electrical & EV Services home Installation package includes the following:
The fitting of your selected charging unit on a brick or plaster wall, or other suitable
permanent structure.
Routing of the cable through a drilled hole in a wall up to 500mm (20 inches) thick,
where required.
Up to 10 metres of cable, run and neatly clipped to the wall between the
distribution board and the charging unit up to a height of up to 1.8m.
Installation of a Type A-mcb
Electrical testing and NICEIC certification.
Demonstration of the charge unit functions and App (if applicable)
What can increase the cost of your EV charge point installation?
There are a number of factors, but here are a few examples that can increase the cost of
your installation:
Earth stake - some charge units and properties require an earth rod to be installed.
Additional cable - if additional cable is required, it will be charged at a per meter rate
Type A RCBO - a protective device required for some installations to protect against current overload, AC and DC leakage.
Dedicated two-way consumer unit – this may be required if your existing consumer board has no spare ways.
Extra labour - for more complex installations.

- Reduced running costs – An Electric car costs significantly less to run and maintain than diesel and petrol powered cars / vehicles . There is no fuel required, no oil change and fewer moving parts to break or wear out.
- OLEV Grant (up to a maximum of £350.00). If you are eligible for the grant it can greatly reduce the cost of your car charger / installation.
- Easy home charging - No Need for trips to the petrol station, simply plug in your car over night for a fully charged vehicle in the morning.
